The Tigers continued their momentum from doubles play into singles. Baudry came from behind at No. 2 singles to clinch the Tigers win, (6-7 (7), 6-1, 6-4). Marshall Dagostine won in straight sets at No. 6 singles (6-2, 6-4) while the freshman, Liu earned a win at No. 5 singles in his collegiate debut.

“We want to thank our fans that made the trip to Furman today,” said head coach John Boetsch. “It was a great atmosphere to play in and Furman has been great working with us this season.”

“We knew PC was going to be tough. They were conference champs and have NCAA experience from last year. For the first match, I was pleased with how we competed once we settled into the match. We will take a competitive jump when we are able to stay focused and execute our fundamentals throughout the whole match. We did this at times today and when we did we were dominant.”

Next weekend, the Tigers head to Charlotte, N.C. to face UNCC in a dual match. The match is set to start a 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21.
