Clemson, S.C. — The Clemson rowing team will make its season debut on Saturday when it hosts the Carolina Cup, hitting the competition course for the first time in 364 days. The Tiger will compete against North Carolina and Duke in its 6th annual event.
Last season the Tigers earned its best point total at the event since 2017, tallying 87 points. Clemson’s most notable performance of the race came in the 2V4 where the Tigers clocked a 8:01.79 against a strong head current and slight wind. Additionally, each of its scoring boats finished in second place.
The first event on Saturday is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, home events will be limited to student-athletes, staff and official personnel only. Fans will not be permitted to attend.
