As we draw closer to the 2020 football season, we remain optimistic about seeing our Tigers run down the Hill in Death Valley. While there are still many decisions to be made on how the stadium might look this season, we understand many of you are ready to make a decision. Please know, our focus for 2020 is centered around flexibility.

If you are ready to attend games, we’ll be in contact soon with details on tailgating, capacity and health guidelines, and what you can expect from a new gameday experience. No further action is needed at this time.

This season has inserted new variables into the decision-making process, both from a health and financial perspective. You are in control if you wish to “redshirt” this season. Please review notes on the gameday experience and options below, and let us know by 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2020 if you’d like to fully opt out of your request for the 2020 season.

Capacity will be set in coordination with public health officials with an emphasis on allowing the appropriate distancing among affiliated parties within outdoor seating sections. Details on ticket assignments will be made after the Aug. 21  “redshirt” deadline.

Tailgating is an important part of the gameday experience, and we are working diligently to make this a reality, modeling ways to make this experience as safe as possible. Parking assignments will be made following the Aug. 21 “redshirt” deadline.

Ticketing will be mobile, making the use and transfer of the tickets easier than ever. In our models, a priority for us in the seat selection process is servicing as many of our 11,000-plus accounts as possible, and will mean a reduction in the number of tickets to be fulfilled. Many accounts or levels will not have access to their full number of season tickets requested.

I’ll Take the Redshirt

If, for whatever reason, you are unable or uncomfortable attending games in Memorial Stadium and would like to redshirt this season without impact on your 2021 ticket eligibility, please let us know by Aug. 21 at the link below. This will provide the opportunity to assist more IPTAY donors with planning and modeling. If you opt out, you’ll receive more information after the deadline on:

  • Redirecting your ticket commitment to IPTAY as a contribution.
  • Deferring your ticket commitment to 2021
  • Requesting a full ticket refund

If we are not able to accommodate any fans in the stadium, or if the season is cancelled, further communication will provide more detail. We appreciate your continued patience and support of IPTAY and Clemson Athletics!

Clemson announced in June a move to mobile-only ticket delivery. In addition to being safer for fans by reducing contact at the gate, mobile ticketing offers fans more control in how they can access, transfer or return tickets. The move allows Clemson’s Ticket Office to more nimbly adapt to potential changes to stadium operations or schedule in the upcoming season.  You can learn more about mobile ticketing here.

Ticket request dates will be announced at a later date.

The IPTAY Board of Directors have approved an IPTAY Priority Point bonus points program for gifts to IPTAY 2020. More details on this program will be released in the coming days
