Clemson, S.C. β After a stretch of three away games, the Clemson Tigers lacrosse team (5-2) returns to home to play the Campbell Camels (3-2) at Historic Riggs Field on Wednesday, March 8 at 4:00 p.m. Live stats will be available here.Β
Clemson comes off of a dominating 21-3 win over Longwood. The Tigerβs were able to control the pace of the game, getting an early 8-0 lead in the first quarter. Additionally, Clemson outshot Longwood 44-10 and won 78% of the draws. Sofia Chepenik earned her first start of her collegiate career and finished the game with a hat trick and two assists. Gianna New and Hanna Hilcoff led the charge for the Tigers in scoring, making up nine out of their 21 goals.Β
The Tigers will be the only ACC team that Campbell will play this season. The Camels are coming off of a 14-7 win over Old Dominion. Campbell is led by Head Coach Dawn Easley and Assistant Coaches Lauren Ednie and Kelsey Richardson. Midfielder Sam Bischoff and defender Rebekah Taylor have played critical roles for Campbell thus far and will look to continue making an impact in Wednesday’s game against Clemson. Bischoff was named the 2023 Big South Conference Preseason Midfielder of the Year, while Taylor picked up Preseason Defensive Player of the Year honors.
