CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 15 Clemson Tigers (10-4, 4-2 ACC) are set to begin a two-game ACC road trip, first against the Virginia Tech Hokies (7-6, 2-4 ACC) on Saturday, April 5th at 12 p.m. in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Clemson is coming into the midweek evening game on a roll. The Tigers have outscored the opposition, 69-17, in the past four games including holding three of the past four opponents under five goals and scoring 20 or more points for the fourth time this season against UAlbany. The Tigers had another phenomenal game on Tuesday against the Pirates. Lindsey Marshall recorded her eighth hat trick of the season and her fourth consecutive game with four or more goals. Kayla MacLeod became Clemson’s all-time leading goal scorer by breaking the tie between her and Hanna Hilcoff at 67 goals after her first goal of the evening.

Marshall has been on the forefront of the Clemson attack this season. The Towson transfer has 43 goals on the season with nine assists and 52 points and is three goals away from surpassing her career-high in a season and two points off from the same mark. Marshall is also approaching Hanna Hilcoff’s single-season goal record of 51 and Gianna New’s single-season point record of 64 (50 goals, 14 assists). MacLeod has followed closely behind Marshall and has recorded 39 goals and eight assists for 47 points. MacLeod is six points away from breaking Hilcoff’s career points record and is one goal away from becoming the first Clemson player to hit 70 career goals. In the past four games, Brooke Goldstein has come into her own in the Clemson offense. The freshman has accumulated 18 points during the Tigers’ winning streak to bring her season total to 39 and, along with breaking Natalie Shurtleff and Sofia Chepenik’s single-season assist record, is closing in on breaking Regan Byrne’s freshman points record of 41 points. Lexi Edmonds and Natalie Shurtleff follow MacLeod and Marshall, as the only other players with more than 20 goals, having amassed 29 and 26 goals and have notched 38 and 36 points, respectively.

Much like the offense, the Clemson defense has been on a roll nearing the end of the season. The defensive unit for the Tigers is third in the ACC in terms of scoring defense, averaging 8.71 goals per game, and has allowed five goals in the past two ACC match ups. Clemson has the top-ranked corps in the ACC in ground balls, picking up 19.57 per game, and are the best unit in the ACC in causing turnovers, 11.79 per game, while being top-10 in the nation in each.

Summer Agostino has caused a team-high 37 turnovers, the most in a single season for Clemson Lacrosse. Agostino has recorded the third-most caused turnovers nationally while maintaining an average of 2.64 caused turnovers per game, the best in the ACC. Additionally, Agostino has picked up 36 ground balls, breaking Paris Masaracchia’s 2024 record of 35, and is tied for both the third-highest total in the ACC and fifth-highest per game mark in the ACC, where she has averaged 2.57 per game. Lamparter has also been on a hot streak lately; the goalie has 27 saves during the Tigers win streak and a 65.9% save percentage while allowing 3.5 goals on average.

The draw unit is currently winning 59.7% of their draw controls for 15.57 per game, each top-five marks in the ACC. The unit is led by Kira Balis, who has won 123 draw controls for 8.79 draw controls per game, the most by a freshman in the ACC in either category and the highest freshman total nationally. Shurtleff and graduate transfers Maggie Jordan and Bridget Babcock have all recorded double digit draw controls with 23, 32 and 19, respectively.
