Volleyball Slips Against Rhode Island

NEW HAVEN, CONN. – The Clemson volleyball team fell to Rhode Island, 3-1 (25-17, 28-30, 17-25, 23-25), in Friday’s opening match of the Yale Invitational in the Payne Whitney Gymnasium. Clemson, now 3-2 on the season, will look to bounce back as the Tigers take on Delaware and Yale Saturday.

 

Sophomore outside hitter Kaylin Korte led the effort for the Tigers, posting 14 kills and 15 digs to notch her third double-double of the season. Alyssa Deloney tied her career high of eight kills in Friday’s loss. Caroline Pearson added 40 assists for the Tigers offensively.

 

Up next, Clemson faces Delaware at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, followed by Yale at 7 p.m. Both matches will air on the Ivy League Network. Live stats for both matches can be accessed on ClemsonTigers.com.
