The Clemson Tigers women’s basketball team is headed to Alabama to take on the Auburn Tigers in the inaugural ACC/SEC Women’s Challenge.

Clemson is 4-4 all-time against Auburn and won the most recent game between the two teams in the second round of the WNIT last season. Amanda Butler’s teams are 9-6 overall against Auburn. Thursday’s game can be seen on SEC Network. Sam Ravech and Tamika Catchings will be on the TV broadcast, William Qualkinbush and Sarah-Jo Lawrence can be heard on the radio broadcast on 105.5 The Roar and the Clemson Tigers app.

This is the final game of a four-game stretch in which the Tigers will be away from home – Clemson’s longest such stretch of the season. CU will follow the Auburn game with a season-long four-game homestand that will commence on December 7 in the ACC opener against Duke.

Clemson is 5-3 following last week’s Van Chancellor Classic in Houston, Texas. The Tigers closed out the tournament by putting up their third 90+ point performance of the year with a 92-66 win over Arkansas – Pine Bluff.

There were several notable performances by the Tigers in Houston last weekend. Amari Robinson set a new career high of 29 points in Clemson’ game against Tulsa, and she was later named to the Van Chancellor Classic All-Tournament Team. MaKayla Elmore set a new career record for most rebounds in a game against the Golden Hurricane with nine, she then followed it up with 11 rebounds in the Tigers’ next game against UAPB.

Clemson’s game against the Lions also featured some of the best shooting the Tigers have seen in over a decade. Clemson shot 12-23 from outside, giving the Tigers their best shooting performance with over 15 attempts from outside since 2013.
