Clemson Athletics wants to thank Libby Kehn for nearly 20 years of service in Athletic Communications!
The native of Saline, Michigan, arrived in Clemson as a student in 1998, when she took over a student-assistant role vacated by fellow Michiganian (and current Atlantic Coast Conference Chief of External Affairs) Amy (Moore) Yakola. It was Yakola who recruited her from the backyard of the Michigan Wolverines to the “special” hills of Clemson, South Carolina. What stood out and stands out most about Libby to Yakola is her kindness and loyalty, attributes that any friend and co-worker can appreciate.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Management (’02) and her MBA (’04) from Clemson, Libby moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked in business operations for a medical device company.
In 2006, she was once again “recruited” back to Clemson. This time, it was Tim Bourret who called her back to manage the Athletic Department’s website. In the years to follow, she would take on more and more responsibility, serving as the primary sport contact for several of Clemson’s athletic teams. It’s working with those teams, coaches, and student-athletes that she will miss the most. She will particularly treasure the memories made on coast-to-coast spring break trips with Women’s Tennis and international trips with both Men’s Soccer and Women’s Basketball.
She has been recruited away from working in Athletics, though not away from Clemson, as she will be working with the administration in Student Affairs. It is without a doubt that they too will come to appreciate the kindness and loyalty of Libby Kehn.
Libby, We wish you the best as you join your new team “all the way” across campus in Student Affairs!
