CHARLOTTE – Clemson women’s basketball head coach Amanda Butler, along with players Amari Robinson and Ruby Whitehorn, will be representing the Tigers in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday, October 24 for the 2023 ACC Tip Off.
The annual event can be seen on ACC Network as well as on the ESPN mobile app. Interview times, channels, and information will be made available on Tiger social media platforms as it becomes available.
Coach Butler leads Team 49 into action for the 2023-24 season and is in her sixth season in charge of the Tigers. Last year, Butler’s squad won 19 games and advanced to the third round of the WNIT. Butler currently sits at 299 career coaching wins.
Robinson, coming off a season in which she was tabbed as a Second Team All-ACC performer, averaged over 13 points and six rebounds per game – both of which led the 2022-23 Clemson squad. The graduate student from Douglasville, Georgia was also named to the Academic All-ACC team and was named CSC Academic All-District.
After a true freshman season in which she averaged 9.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, Whitehorn was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team. She showcased her dynamic ability to get buckets all season and had multiple games with over 20 points, including a 29-point outburst in last season’s Paradise Jam.
