Seven Tigers Head to Columbia for ITA Regionals
CLEMSON, S.C. - The Clemson Men’s Tennis team is traveling to Columbia, S.C., for the ITA Carolina Regional Championship this weekend from October 9-12. Seven Tigers will compete in singles, and six will also compete in the doubles competition.
Romain Gales looks to defend the Singles Championship he took home in 2025 in Cary, N.C., which allowed him to qualify for the NCAA Individual Singles Championship. Gales will be joined by teammates Bruno Kuzuhara, Marko Mesarovic, Tiago Pires, Henrik Bladelius, Matisse Farzam and Noa Lopez Cherubino in the Singles Main Draw beginning October 9.
The Tigers will send three doubles pairs to the tournament, including Farzam and Pires, who qualified for the NCAA Individual Doubles Championship at ITA All-Americans in September through the consolation bracket. Gales/Kuzuhara and Mesarovic/Bladelius are the other two pairings competing for the Tigers over the weekend.
The two singles finalists and the doubles champions from this event will qualify for the NCAA Individual Singles and Doubles Championships to be held later this fall. Viktor Markov qualified for the Singles Championship and the Doubles Championship with Noa Vukadin at the ITA All-American Championship in September.
