Our mission is to establish a culture, grounded in our core values, that promotes the holistic development of our student-athletes. To ensure this development, we strive to collaborate with all departments and industry leading professionals to provide our student-athletes with the most innovative and up-to-date training methods. Our objective is that all coaches and athletes acquire an insatiable desire to pursue mastery.

Internship Information

  • Start/End Dates: Fall internships begin 1 week before classes begin and end at the conclusion of semester finals; Spring and Summer internships begin the Monday before Spring and Summer session classes begin and end at the conclusion of the semester/session with finals
  • Typical Hours: 50-60hrs/week
  • Total hours Available: Semester dependent (spring, summer, fall) minimum available ~ 650hrs for a semester
  • Benefits: Non-paid position; gain experience and knowledge in D1 setting; work with Olympic sports at Clemson University; access to weight room area for training; Clemson issued gear; can be used to fulfill for class credit if necessary
  • Intern Responsibilities: included but not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports; daily maintenance of training facility; use of technology and data analysis; completion of internship curriculum
  • Required Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in Exercise Science or related field; certified in CPR/AED/First Aid; strong desire to become Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach; pursuing CSCCa-SCCC or NSCA-CSCS certification
  • Preferred Qualifications: NSCA-CSCS certification; previous collegiate experience
