CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson gymnastics returns to Littlejohn Coliseum on Friday, February 28, for the last of a three-meet homestand, hosting the program’s first-ever tri-meet at 5:00 p.m. The Tigers will welcome New Hampshire and Texas Woman’s to Littlejohn as they celebrate the program’s annual Military Appreciation Day.
Last weekend, Clemson earned its highest score of the season (196.575) against No. 16 Stanford (196.925). The Tigers earned season-high marks on vault and floor, with Eve Jackson leading the floor rotation with a career-high 9.95. Molly Arnold (9.9) and Brie Clark (9.925) combined with Jackson to mark the first time this season three Tigers scored 9.9 or higher on an event.
Texas Woman’s comes into Friday’s meet ranked No. 49 in NQS ( 44 VT; 42 UB; 55 BB; 52 FX). The Pioneers highest score of the season is a 195.375 coming in a meet against Cal and Utah State. New Hampshire is currently ranked No 52 in NQS (41 VT; 54 UB; 47 BB; 44 FX) and the Wildcats’ highest score of the season came earlier this month against Brown and Yale (194.700).
Fans are encouraged to wear purple to Littlejohn on Friday, as the meet has been designated as Clemson’s annual Military Appreciation Day meet. Fans have a chance to receive a purple pom upon entry and there are multiply military recognitions throughout the meet.
Presale tickets are sold out for Friday’s meet, but a small number of walk-ups will be available at the Burton Gallery ticket windows on Sunday, beginning when doors open at 4:00 p.m.
