CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson gymnastics returns to action on Friday night, hitting the road to take on Pitt in the Tigers’ second road meet of the season. Clemson travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a 7:00 p.m. meet, set to be shown on ACCNX.
The Tigers dropped their first dual meet last Friday to NC State, 196.300-195.600. Clemson posted a program-best 49.525 on the floor, which is the 15th-highest score on the event by any program in the NCAA this season. The high score was spurred by both Molly Arnold and Lauren Rutherford scoring back-to-back 9.950s, the first 9.950s on any event by a Tiger.
Freshman Maggie Holman was named ACC Newcomer of the Week after recording a 9.850 on vault, good for a second-place tie by just 0.025, and a career-high 9.900 on floor.
