CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers officially completed the final day of the Orange and Purple Invitational on Saturday, January 25 at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex.
“It was a great weekend overall,” Director of Track and Field Mark Elliott said. “Both teams are coming together well and we had great performances on both sides that will help with ACC qualifiers and NCAA qualifiers as well.”
Sophomore Brian Kweyei owned the day as he set the program record in the men’s 800 meters which was previously held by Tarees Rhoden. Kweyei ran an incredible 1:46.26, a personal best time for him. Multiple Tigers improved their marks and times on the all-time list while others found themselves on the list for the first time.
Clemson continues to improve as they inch closer to the ACC Indoor Championships with only two home meets left in the indoor season.
