At 11:45 AM Thursday, Clemson third baseman Jeff Baker will stop by TheACC.com to discuss the his team’s chances in the NCAA Baseball Tournament.
Baker, a sophomore, leads the ACC with 22 home runs and 69 RBIs. His 22 home runs are just two shy of tying the Clemson record for home runs in a season and his 32 home runs as a freshman and sophomore established a new Clemson record for home runs by a player in his first two seasons. Baker has five multi home run games this season, also a Clemson record.
The Woodbridge, Va. native began the season as Clemson’s regular shortstop, but moved to the third base position shortly after the season began. Last week, Baker was named the conference’s first-team All-ACC third baseman.
Clemson (38-20) is hosting a regional this weekend at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. William & Mary will be the Tigers opening round opponent.
