Indoor Track and Field Teams Compete at Florida

GAINESVILLE, FL GAINESVILLE, FL – Nine members of the Clemson indoor track and field teams competed at the Nike Fast Times Invitational in Gainesville, FL, on Thursday night.

For the women’s team, junior LaShonda Cutchin placed second in the 400m dash with a time of 54.71, while freshman Marcia Smith was third in the event at 54.78. Junior Nyjla Littlejohn was fifth in the 55m hurdles with a time of 7.86, and sophomore Keke Elder placed seventh in the event at 7.90. Freshman Joana Costa recorded a fifth-placed finish in the pole vault with a mark of 11’5 3/4″.

Four members of the men’s team competed in Florida. Sophomore Doug Ameigh finished third with a mark of 6’10 3/4″ in the high jump, and sophomore Ryan Lewis was fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 16’7 1/4″. Sophomore Kai Maull placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 24’1″, and sophomore Fred Sharpe was 11th in the 800m with a time of 1:58.70.
