1999-2000: Recorded an indoor mark of 49’2 1/4″ in the triple jump at the Clemson Invitational…recorded his best long jump mark of the year (25’1 1/4″) en route to a third place finish at Virginia Tech…placed fifth in the triple jump at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 50’2 1/2″…recorded a long jump of 24’9 1/4″ at the Gator Invitational…earned all-conference honors in the long jump at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 24’3 1/2″…finished fourth in the long jump at the Penn Relays with a mark of 24’4 1/2″.
1998-99: Placed 10th in the triple jump at the ACC Indoor Championships, recording a mark of 46′ 1/2″…finished fifth with a jump of 24’7″ in the long jump at the Kroger Invitational, his best mark of the indoor season…placed second (24’5″) in the long jump at the Clemson Invitational indoors and third (23’10 1/4″) at the Clemson Opener indoors…finished fifth in the long jump (24’10 1/2″) and the triple jump (48’4″) at the ACC Outdoor Championships …qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a jump of 25’4 1/2″ at the Texas A&M Invitational…earned All-America honors after placing eighth with a mark of 25’7 1/4″ at the national outdoor meet…the only freshman to earn All-America honors in the event …won the long jump at the Clemson Invitational outdoors and placed second in the event at the Florida Relays.
Cape Henlopen High School Coached by Tim Bamforth…1998 indoor state champion in the long jump (24’1″) and triple jump (48’6″), setting new state records in both events…is a three time Delaware state long jump champion…was the 1997 AAU Junior Olympics long jump champion …won the long jump at the Penn Relays (24’9″)…East Coast Champion in the long jump…won the 1998 state championship in the 200m, 400m, long and triple jump.
