Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers (9-3. 1-3 ACC) will travel to Chapel Hill to face the No. 3 North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday, March 26. (8-1, 4-0 ACC) at Dorrance Field. The game will be live streamed on ACCN and live stats will be available here.

Clemson is coming off two dominating non-conference wins, a 23-2 win over Radford and a 20-4 win over Presbyterian. The Tigers offense have found a good rhythm as in both games more than half of their goals came off an assist. Four different Tigers registered a hat trick against Radford and 11 different players found the back of the net against Presbyterian.

Freshman Sofia Chepenik has impressed. Between the two games Chepenik totaled five assists and six goals. With five goals in the first quarter of the Presbyterian game, Gianna New became Clemson’s new leading scorer with a total of 36 on the season. North Carolina transfer Ella Little has been impressive on the draw, collecting a career high of 16 draw controls against Radford.

No. 3 North Carolina will be the highest ranked opponent Clemson has faced thus far this season. The defending national champions are led by veteran Head Coach Jenny Levy and Assistant Coaches Phil Barnes and Marie McCool. UNC has several threats on the offensive side, namely Caitlyn Wurzburger and Reilly Casey as those two lead the Tar Heels in goals with 21, and in assists with 24.

Head Coach Allison Kwolek will not be traveling with the team to UNC as she has begun treatment for breast cancer and is recovering from surgery.
