Game Preview

Clemson, S.C. β€” The Clemson Tigers Lacrosse team (9-4, 1-4 ACC) will host the Louisville Cardinals (4-7, 1-4 ACC) on Saturday, April 1 at Historic Riggs Field at 1:00 p.m. in Clemson’s inaugural Senior Game. The game will be live streamed on ACCNX and live stats will be available here.

Following the conclusion of the game, the team will recognize its nine graduating fifth years: Marina Miller, Mallory Martel, Starr Howars, Emma Johnson, Chloe Willard, Maddy Moloney, Gianna New, Jalyn Jimerson and Belle Martire.

In addition to the Tigers honoring nine players graduating, Clemson has also designated this game as a Pink Game to show their support of Head Coach Allison Kwolek as she battles Breast Cancer. Pink t-shirts and pom poms will be available to the first 500 fans.Β

For the first time since having surgery, Head Coach Allison Kwolek will be coaching as normal in the Louisville match up. The Tigers are coming off of a 17-8 loss to the defending national champions, No. 3 North Carolina. Clemson’s leading scorer Gianna New registered three goals on the day, increasing her season total to 39 goals. Freshman Sofia Chepenik also continued to impress, totaling two goals and one assist.

Both Louisville and Clemson will be looking to improve their conference record as both teams go into the game 1-4 in the ACC. Louisville has lost their last five games and is led by Head Coach Scott Teeter and Assistant Coaches Kaylin Morissette and Allison Daley. Senior Midfielder Nicole Perroni is a threat for the Cardinals on both sides of the ball, as she leads her team in goals with 27 and in caused turnovers with 18 total.Β Β Β
