DAVIDSON, NC – Clemson defeated Winthrop 6-1, and Davidson 7-0 in a men’s intercollegiate tennis doubleheader at Davidson’s Indoor Tennis Facility on Saturday evening. Clemson is ranked 60th nationally and improves to 3-0 on the year. Winthrop falls to 0-2 this season, while it was the 2013 opener for Davidson. Yannick Maden, ranked 75th nationally in singles, won both of his singles matches at number-one singles. He defeated Dylan Comerford of Winthrop 6-3, 6-3 and defeated Joe Schafer of Davidson 6-2. 6-1. Maden along with his brother Dominique won both doubles matches. The pair defeated Comerford and Cory Decandia of Winthrop 8-0. Against Davidson the duo defeated Kevin Moore and Chris Mark 8-4.
