Clemson Student-Athlete Development

Student-athletes have countless opportunities to build professional skills and network with over 200 industry professionals during their time at Clemson. The Student-Athlete Development department connects student-athletes to job shadowing experiences, internships, full-time jobs, and offers individual career advising to each student-athlete.

CORE VALUES

First-year student-athletes identify their top core values and how their values will align with their job search and career path.

ELEVATOR PITCH

Second-year student-athletes learn the basics of networking and develop a 30-second elevator pitch with guidance from professionals. The evening ends with a pitch competition!

FASHION SHOW & ETIQUETTE DINNER

Second-year student-athletes participate in an etiquette dinner to learn about the basics of formal etiquette in a professional setting. Towards the end of the event, UPIC interns model different professional wear to demonstrate the variety of workplace attire ranging from “Casual Friday” to business professional.

MOCK INTERVIEWS

During this event, third-year student-athletes participate in two mock interviews, one in-person and one virtual. The student-athletes are interviewed by a mixture of Clemson Career counselors, business professionals, and potential employers.

TIGER NETWORKING SOCIAL

Third-year student-athletes have the opportunity to connect with industry professionals to gain insights into their career fields of interest.

TIGER PRO NIGHT

Tiger Pro Night is a career fair that connects fourth and fifth-year student-athletes with employers.
