CLEMSON, S.C. – Thirteen Clemson softball players were named to the All-ACC Academic Team, the conference office announced on Thursday. This marks the second-most softball players in Clemson softball’s short infancy to earn All-ACC Academic honors in a single season trailing only the 2023 squad (15).
Alia Logoleo and Millie Thompson garnered their team-high fourth honors, after making the team every year eligible. Logoleo, a First Team All-ACC infielder, and Thompson, a three- time Third Team All-ACC pitcher, become the first two Clemson softball players to earn the honor four times during their careers. Valerie Cagle, a third-team All-ACC selection, and Aby Vieira received their third-consecutive selections, while Brooke McCubbin, Maddie Moore, Arielle Oda, Regan Spencer each earned their second award. A total of five athletes earned it for the first time (Kennedy Ariail, Lindsey Garcia, Grace Hiller, Kylee Johnson and Julia Knowler).
All-ACC Academic teams are composed of students with considerable academic and athletic achievements. To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average throughout the duration of their academic career. Additionally, these student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests throughout the duration of the season.
