2024 MLB Tigers Season Wrapup

CLEMSON, S.C. – Eight former Tigers played in the major leagues in 2024, including first-year players Ryan Miller, Bryce Teodosio and Justin Wrobleski. MLB veterans Dominic Leone, Carson Spiers, Spencer Strider, Eli White and Weston Wilson also saw action in the majors in 2024.

Leone (2010-12) pitched his 11th and final MLB season in 2024, playing with the Chicago White Sox, his ninth team, before announcing his retirement after the season. He had 17 strikeouts in 19.0 innings pitched over 23 relief appearances in 2024. Leone ended his career with 22 wins, eight saves, a 3.94 ERA and 444 strikeouts against 192 walks in 429.0 innings pitched over 427 appearances (four starts).

Miller (2017,18) made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Angels in 2024. He had a 4.15 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 13.0 innings pitched over 13 relief appearances.

Spiers (2017-20) pitched his second MLB season with the Cincinnati Reds in 2024. He had five wins, one save, a 5.64 ERA and 80 strikeouts against 27 walks in 90.2 innings pitched over 26 appearances (12 starts).

Strider (2018-20) pitched his fourth MLB season with the Atlanta Braves in 2024, but his season was cut short due to injury. He pitched just 9.0 innings with 12 strikeouts over two starts.

Teodosio (2018-21) made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Angels in 2024. He had a hit and run in five games.

White (2014-16) played his fifth MLB season and second with the Atlanta Braves in 2024. He hit .282 with a homer, triple, double, four RBIs, nine runs and three steals in 35 games.

Wilson (2014-16) played his second MLB season with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2024. He batted .284 with three homers, a triple, seven doubles, 10 RBIs, 13 runs and three steals in 40 games.

Wrobleski (2019) made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024. He had one win, one save and 26 strikeouts in 36.1 innings pitched over eight appearances (six starts) for the 2024 World Series champions.

Every Tiger team from 1974 to 2021 had at least one future major leaguer on its roster.
