One of the most sought-after recruits in this year’s class… has captured notable victories in the shot put at the JAAA CARIFTA Trials, Penn Relays and the Jamaica U20 Trials… in 2019, Sloley became just the third Jamaican high school girl since 1973 to win the high school girls’ shot put championship at the Penn Relays… over the past three seasons, Sloley has captured 13 victories, with 11 coming in the shot put event… enters Clemson with personal bests of 15.99 meters (52-5.5) in the 3kg shot put, 14.38 meters (47-2.25) in the shot put, 41.92 meters (137-6) in the discus, and 37.54 meters (123-2) in the 500g javelin.
Competed for the Mount Pleasant Track Club and Wando HS during prep career… Finished fourth overall at the 2019 SCHSL 5A State Championships in the shot put… While throwing with her club, Lair has captured victories at the Carolina GOLD Track Classic in the discus and shot put… While competing for Wando, Lair captured a victory in the shot put at the Chick-Fil-A Games… Enters Clemson with personal bests of 11.41 meters (37-5.25) in the shot put and 30.47meters (99-11.5) in the discus.
Was the 2019 Skyland Conference Champion in the javelin during the outdoor season by throwing a personal best of 54 meters (177-2)… finished 14th overall in the javelin competition at the 2019 NJSIAA State Meet of Champions… earned six top-five finishes during the 2019 outdoor season in the javelin… finished within the top-10 of the javelin competition at the NJSIAA Group IV Championships during the 2018 and 2019 seasons… will come to Clemson with a shot put personal best of 12.03 meters (39-5.75) and a personal-best mark of 54 meters (177-2) in the 800g javelin.
