CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 19 Clemson Women’s Tennis (9-1) team opens their ACC Conference schedule on the road against two ranked teams this weekend. On Friday, Feb. 21, the Tigers take on the No.2 Virginia Cavaliers (8-2) at 4:00 pm. On Sunday, Feb. 23, the Tigers take on the No. 27 Virginia Tech Hokies (9-1). This is the Tigers best start since 2023 and first time being ranked in the top-25 since 2016.
Freshman Artemis Aslanisvili, ranked No. 123, concluded non-conference play with a perfect 6-0 record and looks to continue during conference play. In the team’s only loss of the season against Oklahoma State, Aslanisvili was up against her opponent when the match was left unfinished.
Graduate Sophia Hatton and Freshman Gaia Parravicini were 6-1 in non-conference play and look to maintain their dominance on the court. Romana Cisovska and Candela Yecora went 7-3 in doubles in non-conference play.
Clemson leads Virgina 38-15 in the all-time series. The Tigers most recently defeated the Cavaliers in back-to-back years in 2017 and 2018 with a pair of 4-3 victories home and away. All-time, Clemson leads Virginia Tech 27-8 and is on a five-match winning streak against the Hokies. The Tigers most recently came away with a 4-3 victory in 2024.
