Kansas City, Mo. – Clemson Women’s Tennis (5-1) grabbed a 4-2 victory Friday night over Kansas State (0-1). The Tigers came back from an 0-1 deficit in singles to take the 4-2 win over the Wildcats. With the 4-2 victory, Head Coach Boomer Saia is now one win away from his 100th career victory.
Senior Romana Cisovska claimed the first point of the day for the Tigers with a 6-1, 6-3 singles victory. Freshman Rinon Okuwaki didn’t wait long before adding another singles point for Clemson with a 6-1, 6-3 win. With a 6-4, 6-3 win, Sophomore Artemis Aslanisvili tacked on the third singles point for the Tigers to bring the match to 3-2. Looking for the last point to secure the match, Junior #71 Ria Bhakta ended the match in thrilling fashion with a 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 win to bring the match to 4-2 and secure the win for Clemson.
