CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 53 Clemson Women’s Tennis team (11-9, 2-7 ACC) is set to take on No. 22 Georgia Tech (11-7, 7-3 ACC) in Atlanta on Friday, April 5 at 4 p.m.

“This weekend will be a great test for us,” Head Coach Boomer Saia said. “Georgia Tech is a competitive and well-run program. We are working on doubles in practice, to prepare for Friday’s match. We have talked about resiliency and how situations will define us. We must step up to the challenge, for a great win on Friday.”
This will be the 47th meeting between the two programs, with Clemson leading 29-17. The last time the Tigers won against the Yellowjackets was in 2015, with Clemson winning 4-3.
The Tigers split their matches this past weekend, defeating Louisville 4-3, but falling to Notre Dame, 4-1. Cristina Mayorova defeated Jamilah Snells of Louisville, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, and clinched the match for the Tigers. Against Notre Dame, Sophia Hatton won both of her sets 7-5, 6-1, and defeated Yashna Yellayi to claim the only point of the day.
The Tigers look forward to another opportunity against a ranked-conference opponent.
