CLEMSON, S.C. – Multiple Tigers were named to singles and doubles rankings for the week of April 8 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). More rankings can be found here. The Tigers (13-10, 3-8 ACC) are ranked 37 in the nation, the eighth week in a row of a top-40 ranking.
In singles, Graduate Sophia Hatton is ranked No. 111, her highest ranking of the season and a 13-spot jump since her last ranking of 124. Hatton is 7-6 in singles play this year.
In doubles, the duo of Gaia Parravicini and Amelie Smejkalova moved to No. 37 in the rankings. The pair is 11-7 in doubles this season and have claimed a win over the No. 2-ranked duo Maddy Zampardo and Gabrielle Broadfoot from NC State, 6-4. Candela Yecora and Romana Cisovska move to No. 77 in the rankings. The pair leads the Tigers in doubles wins with a record of 12-8.
Up next, the Tigers take on Southern Methodist Mustangs (11-12, 3-7 ACC) on Friday, April 11 at 1:00 pm. This match will serve as our senior day where the Tigers will honor our two co-captains Sophia Hatton and Annabelle Davis.
