CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Clemson Women’s Tennis concludes its run at the ITA Regionals in Chapel Hill, N.C. Four Tigers competed; Seniors Jade Groen and Romana Cisovska, Junior Ria Bhakta, and Sophomores, Candela Yecora, Amelie Smejkalova, Artemis Aslanisvili, Gaia Parravicini, Sophie Clayton additionally competed.
The Tigers competed at a high level, claiming 18 total wins against some of the nation’s premier competition.
Thoughts from Head Coach Boomer Saia:
“We took a good step at regionals for our group. Considering it’s one of the toughest regionals in the country-we had some good results that was good evidence we are on the right track. The message to the team from here is that we need to finish strong in our last round of tournaments and build on what we have learned thus far this fall! We’re continuing to learn to compete and win at the highest level consistency but believe in the steps our team is taking and really excited for our future.”
Next up, the Tigers will compete in the Rome Invite in Rome, Ga., on Oct. 24-26.
