Women’s Tennis Heads to ITA Carolina Regional

Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson women’s tennis team is set to play in its first competition in over a month as it heads off to Winston-Salem to compete in the ITA Carolina Regional. Mackenzy Middlebrooks, Sydney Riley, Laura Marti, Ali DeSpain and Zaina Nait Omar are all expected to take the court over the weekend. Tournament play will run from Thursday morning to Monday afternoon.

In a field that features athletes from 22 institutions, four are from ACC foes as Duke, North Carolina, NC State and host Wake Forest are all set to participate. The Tigers have faced competitors from four of the 22 competing institutions in its previous two tournaments this season.

Qualifying singles action begins on Thursday morning at 9:30 am while the round of 32 for main draw doubles starts at 2:30 pm.
