Tallahassee, Fla. – The Clemson women’s tennis team wrapped up day two of the Seminole Showdown on Saturday afternoon.
Mackenzy Middlebrooks/Sydney Riley and Laura Marti/Zaina Nait Omar each concluded the doubles competition with victories. The senior pair captured a 6-3 win over South Florida’s Boy/Pellicer and the junior-freshman duo picked up a victory over Gish/Sisti of Tulane, 6-1.
Three Tigers also notched wins in singles play as Middlebrooks and Eleni Louka earned straight set victories over Alexis Love Star and Maty Cancini, respectively. Additionally, Riley managed a comeback victory over Thea Rice, taking her lone match of the day, 2-6, 6-4, 10/8.
Tournament action concludes on Sunday afternoon with the closing rounds of singles. Competition is set to begin at 9 a.m. EST.
