Women’s Soccer Opens NCAA Play Nov. 15

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to Vanderbilt Sunday afternoon on Riggs Field at 2:00 p.m. in the second round of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.

The Lady Tigers received a first-round bye in the tournament. Vanderbilt defeated UNC-Greensboro 5-1 on Wednesday in the first round.

Clemson will enter the match with a 15-6 record overall and was a finalist in the ACC Tournament. The Lady Tigers are ranked 11th in the Soccer America poll and 12th in the NSCAA poll.

Vanderbilt has a 17-5 record overall, and is ranked 17th in the Soccer America poll and 11th in the NSCAA poll.

Clemson is led in scoring by Sara Burkett with 15 goals this season. Laura Koerner leads Vanderbilt in scoring with 19 goals.
