Women’s Soccer Freshman Honored

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson women’s soccer freshman Lindsay Browne has been honored by Soccer America after being chosen to the Soccer America Team-of-the-Week for the week of August 28, 2000.

Browne a freshman from Encinitas, CA, led Clemson to wins over #14 UCLA and Old Dominion during this past weekend’s Clemson/Nike Kickoff Classic at Historic Riggs Field. On Friday, August 25, Browne scored the only goal of the game in the Lady Tigers 1-0 defeat of the Lady Bruins. She then led Clemson to a 3-1 win over Old Dominion on Sunday, August 27, by scoring the third and insurance goal.

Browne was one of seven freshman signed by Clemson in the off-season. The class was ranked 8th in the country by many services.
