Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s golf returns to action this weekend, traveling to Melbourne, Fla., to participate in the 7th-annual Moon Golf Invitational. The University of Louisville is hosting the three-day event, held at the 6,503-yard, par-72 Suntree Country Club.
This year’s Moon Golf Invitational will feature 17 teams – 12 of which are ranked in the top-25 of the Scoreboard by Clipp’d rankings (as of Feb. 14).
The Tigers are led by Isabella Rawl, who won two matches in the weather-altered Therese Hession Regional Challenge two weeks ago. Augusta National Women’s Amateur invitee Annabell Pancake is in the No. 2 spot for the Tigers, while Chloe Holder is third. Katherine Schuster will participate in her first tournament of the spring, with Sydney Roberts rounding out the lineup for Clemson.
LSU took home first place in last year’s Moon Golf Invitational, carding the best score in tournament history of 30-under (834). Augusta’s Mirabel Ting won the individual title after an exciting playoff hole against Michigan State’s Leila Raines. Both individuals shot a tournament record-tying score of 13-under (203).
The Tigers, paired with UCF and individual participants, will tee off on Sunday beginning at 8:50 a.m. Live scoring can be found on GolfStat.com.
