Scottsdale, Ariz. – Savannah Grewal shot even par, and Clemson women’s golf finished +11 in the first round of the NCAA Championship at the 6,384-yard, par-72 Grayhawk Golf Club. The Tigers, paired again with SMU and Duke, return to the course Saturday in the afternoon wave for the second round, beginning at 11:30 a.m. local time (2:30 p.m. eastern).
The Tigers had a tough start to the round but played well on the second nine, with Grewal and Chloe Holder each going bogey-free after the turn, with two birdies each. Isabella Rawl finished well, shooting +1 after the turn, while Annabelle Pancake and Melena Barrientos each finished +2 after the turn.
Clemson continues in the stroke-play portion of the NCAA Championships on Saturday, as the finals consist of four rounds of stroke play and three rounds of match play to determine individual and team champions.
