Women’s Golf Eighth After Two Rounds at ACC Championships

Greensboro, N.C. – Clemson women’s golf completed the first two rounds of stroke play on Wednesday and currently sit at eighth with a 595 (+19) team score. The team will play one final round of stroke play on Thursday before the top six teams advance to Friday’s match play.

The Tigers were in eighth place after the first 18 holes of the day, with Chloe Holder pacing the Tigers at even par. Sydney Roberts and Aitana Tuesta each shot +3 in the first round, followed by Isabella Rawl and Melena Barrientos at +4 and +6, respectively.

Clemson got off to a solid start in round two, carding four birdies on the first hole (No. 10). Rawl rebounded from a tough first round to open the second with three-straight birdies. Rawl finished her round at -1 (71). Tuesta finished her second round at even, followed by Melena Barrientos, Sydney Roberts and Chloe Holder. 

Clemson finished Wednesday’s 36 holes in eighth, needing to move up two spots in Thursday’s stroke play final round to advance to Friday’s match play.
