Women’s Cross Country Finishes 3rd at Clemson Invitational, Wins S.C. Collegiate Title

Clemson, SC – The Lady Tiger cross country team finished third as a team at the Clemson Invitational and won the South Carolina collegiate title on Saturday. Georgia’s team claimed first place with 30 points, while Charlotte was runner-up with 48. Clemson finished third with 107 points, ahead of South Carolina with 135.

Individually, Cassie Ficken from Charlotte was the event winner. Jennifer Barton was Clemson’s top finisher with an eighth-place finish. She was the South Carolina collegiate state champion. Casey Phillips finished 16th overall and third in the S.C. Collegiate. Patrice McMillan was Clemson’s third-best finisher at 21st overall and fifth in the S.C. Collegiate, while Ashley Robinson finished 26th overall and Sunday Ford completed the Lady Tigers’ scoring effort with a 36th-place finish.
