Will Merritt Named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week

Greensboro, N.C. – Clemson’s Will Merritt was named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in helping Clemson remain undefeated with a 34-27 win over NC State on Saturday.

Merritt, a 6-3, 260-pound junior turned in an outstanding effort in the Tigers’ win on Saturday. Merritt had 20 knockdown blocks, an all-time record for a Clemson offensive lineman, dating back to 1983. He played 100 snaps in the contest (Clemson ran 95 plays and there were five plays with penalties) and graded out at 75 percent for the game.
