CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Women’s Basketball team (13-15, 6-11 ACC) takes on the Virginia Tech Hokies (17-11, 8-9 ACC) at 2 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum this Sunday. 

Clemson will host its 50th Year Celebration and Senior Day recognition Sunday. There are several Tigers that will be recognized this Sunday; Loyal McQueen, Maddi Cluse, Madi Ott, Anya Poole, Summah Evans, Tessa Miller and Addie Porter. Tickets for the game are $5 and the first 500 fans through the gates will receive an exclusive bobblehead.

The game will be broadcast on ACCNX with Angel Gray and Aja Fallon Stokes on the call. It can also be heard on the Clemson Athletic Network with William Qualkinbush and Faxon Childress on the broadcast. 

Head Coach Shawn Poppie was an assistant coach and associate head coach at Virginia Tech for six seasons from 2016-17 through the 2021-22 season. 

 

Loyal McQueen leads the Tigers in scoring, averaging 13.5 points per game and 4.9 assists per game. Tessa Miller leads the Tigers in rebounding with 6.3. Hannah Kohn is five three-point field goals away from tying the single-season record for three-point field goals made (80). Anya Poole is leading the defensive end for the Tigers, averaging 1.3 blocks per game and is ranked seventh in the ACC for blocks per game this season. 

Virginia Tech’s leading scorer for this current season is Carleigh Wenzel averaging 14.9 ppg, followed by three different Hokies averaging 12 ppg or higher. The lead rebounder for the Hokies is the Senior Forward, Rose Micheaux averaging 7.9 rebounds per game.
