Volleyball to Face Florida State

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson volleyball team (8-11 overall, 3-4 ACC) will travel to ACC rival Florida State University for a 1:00 p.m. match at Tully Gymnasium on Sunday.

Florida State returns five starters and 10 letterwinners from last year’s squad that posted an 8-23 overall record and a 1-15 mark in the ACC. The Lady Seminoles have won only three of their last eight matches, with two of those wins over ACC rivals Wake Forest and NC State.

Junior Norisha Campbell leads the Lady Seminoles in blocks (85), kills (292) and hitting percentage (.356). Freshman setter Jen Anderson leads the Lady Seminoles in assists per game with 13.15 while Jamie Hibbard is the total assists leader (519). Jennifer Werrick has a team-high 27 service aces and Alex Sevillano leads the team in digs with 196 total.

The Lady Seminoles hold a 13-10 advantage over the Tigers in the all-time series. However, Clemson is 9-7 against Florida State since 1993 when head coach Jolene Jordan Hoover took over the program.

Jodi Steffes leads the Tigers in total kills (281) and kills per game (4.26) while also leading the Tigers in digs with 223 and in digs per game (3.38). Jessi Betcher is the assist leader with 749 assists this season (11.35 assists per game). Betcher also leads the team in aces per game with a 0.32 per game average (21 total). Marija Zoric has a team-best 1.03 blocks per game average.
