Volleyball Leads ACC in Hitting Percentage

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson volleyball team leads the ACC with a .295 hitting percentage and ranks second with 3.03 blocks per game. Clemson is fourth in the league with 1.89 service aces per game. Entering last week’s matches the Tigers ranked eighth nationally with a .330 hitting percentage and ranked 17th in the nation with 3.18 blocks per game.

Junior Cindy Stern leads the league with a .402 hitting percentage and ranks second with 1.50 blocks per game. She is fourth in the ACC with 4.17 kills per game. Entering last week’s matches she ranked 14th nationally with a .421 hitting percentage and was 20th with 1.59 blocks per game.

Senior middle hitter Stephanie Schulz is third in the ACC with a .393 attack percentage. She ranked second nationally with a .495 hitting percentage entering last week’s matches. Schulz is seventh in the conference with 1.26 blocks per game.

Junior Skye Frost ranks third in the ACC with 0.54 service aces per game and ninth with 2.97 digs per game. Sophomore setter Melissa Kudelka is fifth in the league with 11.68 assists per game, while junior Alison Coday ranks seventh in the conference with 4.09 kills per game.

Clemson (7-3) plays host to N.C. State Friday at 7 p.m. in Jervey Gym. The Tigers will face Florida State Saturday at 6 p.m. in Clemson. The first 500 fans at Saturday’s match will receive a free t-shirt.
