Volleyball Falls To South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Clemson dropped to 1-6 on the season with a straight-game loss to the University of South Carolina Wednesday night at the Volleyball Competition Center.

The Gamecocks improved to 5-3 overall with the 15-5, 15-1, 15-5 win over the Tigers.

Jodi Steffes led the Tigers with five kills and ten digs while Jessi Betcher tallied eight assists with six digs. Kiki Dallao also had five kills with a service ace and six digs.

USC’s Cally Plummer led all attackers with ten kills, seven digs, two service aces, and six block assists. Megan Hosp tallied a match-high 28 assists with seven digs while Sara Heri had a match-high 12 digs.

Clemson travels to Auburn, AL, this weekend for the Auburn Invitational. The Tigers play Auburn on Friday at 7:00 p.m., Navy on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and Appalachian State on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
