CLEMSON, SC – Clemson head volleyball coach Jolene Jordan Hoover has announced that Didem Ege will join the Tiger program for the 2006 season. She will be the third addition to the 2006 freshman class that also includes high school standouts Kelsey Murphy and Lia Proctor.

“We are very pleased to announce that Didem will be joining our program,” Hoover said. “Adding someone of Didem’s caliber and experience will be very good for our team right now. We’re looking forward to what Didem will bring to our team both on the court and off.”

Ege is a 5-8 defensive specialist from Istanbul, Turkey. She was a member of the 2004-05 Turkish Youth (under 18) National Team that placed first in the European Qualifying Group and she is currently preparing for the 2006 European Championships with the 2005-06 Turkish Junior (under 20) National Training Team.
