Facilities

Banks McFadden Building This 20,000 square-foot facility was the cornerstone of the Jervey Athletics Center renovation project that was completed in 1996. It is the home for all football administrative offices and meeting rooms.

Doug Kingsmore Stadium In January 1998, Baseball America ranked the newly named Doug Kingsmore Stadium the 8th best college facility in the nation. It has been named the host to the 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2001, and 2002 NCAA regional tournaments. The stadium has 3,800 permanent seats, but is capable of holding over 6,000 thanks to a hill area down the left field line that is popular with the Clemson student body. Doug Kingsmore Stadium is located in the middle of Clemson’s athletic facilities.

Hoke Sloan Tennis Center The Clemson tennis team makes its home at the Hoke A. Sloan Tennis Center located in the center of Clemson’s ever-growing campus. This structure consists of two levels covering 3,500 square feet. The coaches’ offices for both the men and women’s teams are located on the upper level. Also on the second floor is an open area with a deck allowing for an unobstructed view of the six main varsity courts. A training room is also located in each of the locker rooms. Also on the lower level is a spacious lobby/trophy and memorabilia room. Indoor competition takes place on a four-court indoor facility, adjacent to the outdoor courts, which seats 250. The outdoor facility consists of 21 laykold-surfaced courts, 6 used for varsity competition. The permanent stadium seats 700.

Jervey Athletics Center The Jervey Athletics Center houses offices for all coaching staffs and administration with the exception of football. It also consists of the training room, equipment room, and the strength training room.

Jervey Gym Part of Jervey Athletics Center, this 1000 seat arena is where all home volleyball matches are held.

Lake Hartwell Clemson’s 1,400-acre campus is located on the shores of Lake Hartwell. It is home to the Clemson Rowing boathouse located at East Beach where various regattas are hosted on the fully-buoyed six lane race course, including the 2001 and 2002 ACC Championships.

Littlejohn Coliseum As you will notice, the coliseum is under serious construction. The basketball teams will be playing at various facilities around the area. For specific location, please contact the ticket office. Home games in November and December will be held at the Anderson Civic Center. Contact the Civic Center Box Office, or the Clemson ticket office for ticket information. McHugh Natatorium The great success the Clemson swimming program has enjoyed over the past few years has not been won easily. The swimming season is long and the training and competition schedule is arduous. But the Tiger swimmers are provided with facilities for training and competition that make the hard work seem bearable. The natatorium facilities include an attractive eight-lane pool featuring a complete Colorado Timing System. The pool has a large deck area for dryland workouts and a sundeck overlooking Death Valley. The seating area can accommodate nearly 1000 Tiger fans. The divers make use of a 13-1/2 foot diving well complete with Durifilm standards and Maxiflex model “B” diving boards. Underwater windows make video taping possible and aid in analysis of strokes, entry work, and saves.

Memorial Stadium “Death Valley” The home of the Clemson Tiger’s Football team is one of the ten largest on-campus stadiums in the country. It is located on the western part of campus and has a capacity of 81,473. Also located in the stadium are the Tiger Den, the President’s Box, and the Letterman’s Association.

Riggs Field On Sept. 1, 1987, Clemson unveiled what may be the premier soccer stadium in the country at Riggs Field. The construction of a 6,500 seat grandstand provides top-notch accommodations for fans and players, and the revitalization of the Bermuda grass field makes Riggs Field one of the nation’s finest.

Rock Norman Track Complex The facility, which is the site of the 1999 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, boasts a 10-46″ lane track, the only one in the southeast, with a Martin 1000 track surface. The track also features a steeplechase waterjump to the outer border of the track, four long jump/triple jump pits with runways, and four pole vault areas. Rock Norman Track, which is located in Jervey Meadows adjacent to the Jervey Athletic Center, is also an excellent one for throwers, with two discus and hammer circles with state-of-the-art protective cages and three shot circles. The facility also includes a 66’x112” high jump apron with four takeoff locations and a 175′ javelin runway.

Walker Course Serving as home for the nationally ranked Clemson University golf team, the course offers a full service driving range, a putting green, a fully stocked pro shop and the Clubhouse Grill. Located at the Madren Center, the Walker Course is an eighteen-hole golf course with Bermuda fairways and Bent greens. The Walker Course is open year-round for public play as well as for golf outings. The 18 holes wind through rolling hills and hardwood forests. The last five holes, including the signature Tiger Paw 17th hole, run along the shores of the lake and offer one of the most spectacular collections of finishing holes in the Southeast.
