Track & Field to Kick Off NCAA Championships Wednesday

AUSTIN, Texas. – The Clemson Track & Field team kicks off day one of the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships Wednesday at the University of Texas’ Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. The championship meet is slated to run Wednesday (June 5) through Saturday (June 8). Clemson has a total of nine championship entries and traveled 19 total student-athletes, including relay reserves, on the trip to Texas.

The men’s 4x100m relay will get things started for Clemson on Wednesday in the semifinal round at 7:32 p.m. EST. Marcus Parker (200m semifinal) and Chris McBride (long jump final) are also slated to compete Wednesday evening. For the women, the Tigers’ 4x100m relay (semifinal) will begin at 8:02 p.m. EST on Thursday, June 6. Rebekah Smith (100m semifinal), Lakeisha Warner (400mH semifinal) and the 4x400m relay (semifinal) round out the women’s group.

Roje Stona and Grant Voeks will look to score for the Tigers in the discus (final) on Friday, June 7 at 8:05 p.m. EST.

All finals running events will take place on Friday for the men, and on Saturday for the women.
