Tigers Wrap-Up Third Day of Auburn Invite and Fall Schedule

AUBURN, Ala. – The Tigers battled hard all season and in today’s tournament.

On the third day of the tournament, both Sophia Hatton and Alina Tsyurpalevych competed in both singles and doubles matches.

After two great days, Tsyurpalevych battled to three sets against Maeve Thornton of Furman University but fell by a score of 4-6, 5-7, 3-6. Hatton fell to Eleanor Schulson of Furman University in three sets by a score of 7-6 (7-2), 1-6, 6-3. 

Tsyurpalevych and Hatton combined for doubles once again and fought hard but ultimately fell to Karolina Jacobson and Rosie Gross Garcia of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, 4-6.  

The Tigers look forward to starting their spring season. The full schedule with dates and times will be released soon.

“We had great opportunities this fall season, and we learned a lot,” Head Coach Boomer Saia said, “We are excited for January and all the opportunities coming with a new season. We look forward to seeing everyone out at the facility. Go Tigers!”
