Tigers Travel to Greensboro for ACC Championship

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s golf team is set to compete in the ACC Women’s Golf Championship at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. The tournament begins Thursday, April 13, and concludes Sunday, April 16, and will feature three rounds of stroke play (two on Thursday and one on Friday) before match play begins on Saturday. The top four teams following stroke play will advance to the match play semifinals on Saturday, with the finals being contested on Sunday.

Clemson brings a lineup of Savannah Grewal, Chloe Holder, reigning ACC Golfer of the Month Annabelle Pancake, Melena Barrientos, Isabella Rawl and Sydney Roberts. Barrientos and Grewal led the Tigers to a fifth-place finish at last year’s event in Pawley’s Island, S.C.

The teams are seeded based on GolfStat rankings, with the Tigers picking up a 4-seed heading into the weekend. Clemson is paired with Duke and NC State and will tee off Thursday morning beginning at 8:00 a.m. on hole #1 for the first round. The teams will then play a second round on Thursday afternoon, with the same groupings, with no break in between.

The semifinals and finals of the ACC Women’s Golf Championship match play will be televised live on ACC Network Extra. Ryan Burr (play-by-play) and Suzy Whaley (analyst) will provide the call. A championship recap show will air May 1 at 7 p.m. on ACCN. Live scoring of the entire event can be accessed via GolfStat.
