Tigers To Celebrate Season With Papa John’s Pizza Party Sunday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The pizza party is on! Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney announced the athletic department will host the event on Sunday in Memorial Stadium following his team’s appearance in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday night.

““Win or lose, this team deserves to be celebrated,” Coach Swinney said at his Tuesday press conference.

The athletic department has partnered with the Greenville-based Papa John’s franchisee Perfect Delivery, Inc. to start preparing pizzas. Owner Bo Knapp and his team will spend the next five days finalizing plans to feed thousands of excited Clemson fans.

Final details of the party will be announced following Saturday evening’s game, but the event will run in conjunction with the announcement of Clemson’s postseason destination. If the Tigers win, they’re likely to be included in the College Football Playoff, which will be announced during a noon telecast on ESPN. Following a loss, the Tigers anticipate participating in on of the “New Year’s 6” games, which will be announced at 3 p.m.
