Tigers Seventh After Round One of Blessings Collegiate

Fayetteville, Ark. – Sophomore Sydney Roberts shot the lowest round of the day and Clemson women’s golf current sits in seventh place after the first round of the Blessings Collegiate. The tournament in its fourth year is being played at the Blessings Golf Course on the University of Arkansas. 

Roberts, who hails from Chesnee, S.C., finished the day at +2, including finishing at even par on her first nine holes (10-18). Roberts fired off four birdies on the difficult course and is tied for 18th overall. 

Annabelle Pancake was solid on her first nine holes (10-18), finishing with five birdies, along with two bogeys and a double bogey to sit at -1 after the 18th. The Zionsville, Ind., native struggled on the front nine, however, carding four bogeys to finish the day at +5 and tied for 29th. 

Sophomore Isabella Rawl finished the day at +3 and tied for 22, with four birdies in her round, while Savannah Grewal finished tied with Pancake at +5 and tied for 29th. Chloe Holder rounded out the Tigers lineup at +6 and is tied for 36th.

Clemson returns to the course tomorrow at 10:45 am eastern for the second round. Round two coverage can be seen on the Golf Channel beginning at 4:30 pm eastern.
