Tigers Roll Past Virginia, 6-3

ATLANTA, Ga. — Clemson defeated Virginia 6-3 in the quarterfinal round of the 234d Annual ACC Women’s Tennis Championship at Atlanta, GA Friday morning.

With the win, Clemson improves to 15-5 overall, while Virginia falls to 13-10 this season.

Clemson will meet the winner of the Maryland-Duke match at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Duke is seeded second, while Maryland is seeded seventh.

Carmina Giraldo won her 28th match of the season as she defeated Amy O’Donnell of Virginia at number-one singles 6-1, 6-2. Giraldo has a 27-6 record overall at singles.
